As Executive Chef at B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale, David Morales oversees and lends his creative palette when conceptualizing the menus for the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including signature restaurant Naked Crab Seafood Kitchen | Cocktail Bar, The World-Famous Wreck Bar, Salty Siren and The Clipper Express.
With more than 20 years of culinary experience, Morales draws on his Latin heritage, blending fresh ingredients and spices to create contemporary Mediterranean dishes influenced by the flavors of Europe, North and South America. He sources his menu locally in South Florida, using fresh seafood and produce from local farms.

The signature restaurant is located along the famed coastal highway A1A at 1140 Seabreeze Boulevard, in the iconic Yankee Clipper building which is now B Ocean Resort. Both locals and visitors can relish on all things surf or turf, pairing the finest prime steaks with the freshest seafood and the highest quality ingredients in a picturesque, beachside setting.
The 150-seat restaurant and curbside patio also includes The Florida Bar, a wraparound bar with lounge seating that welcomes guests as they enter the newly expanded lobby. The sophisticated bar lends as an upbeat pre-dining spot to sit and socialize while sipping on handcrafted cocktails by talented bartenders, serving premium spirits, local craft beers, and an extensive wine list as well as a raw seafood and sushi bar display.

Guests are introduced to an endless raw bar and seafood selections of caviar, ceviche’s, oysters as well as daily specials, flown-in daily ensuring the freshest of options from coast to coast.
Go Big or Go Home with the 3-tier Seafood Tower that range from $50 – 100, complete with a variety of clams, oysters, shrimp and crab, and if that doesn’t’ wet your palate, Chef David’s concept of Modern Mediterranean can be found in signature entrees such as the Spiced Moroccan Lamb, a Bouillabaisse Pot Pie to the prime meats including a 42oz. Australian Tomahawk or 12oz. Strip Steak Aged 28 Days.
No experience can be complete without South Florida’s finest signature cocktails created with fresh ingredients such as the Watermelon Rum Punch or B Ocean Cooler. Also featuring a wide range of red, white and rose wines as well as bubbles and blends.
